New York Giants: Quarterback Power Rankings for NFC Playoffs

4.) Russell Wilson
Since coming into the league in 2012, there have been few quarterbacks better than Russell Wilson. With his ability to both throw and run, Wilson is a nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators to gameplan against.
Despite a lot of success since entering the NFL, Wilson has had a down season for the Seahawks this year. In 2016, Wilson has totaled 21 passing touchdowns and 11 interceptions. However, he did set a new career-high in passing yards, as the Seahawks’ offense has shifted to more of a passing offense this season.
Due to a knee injury during the season, Wilson also had a down season running the football. In 2016, all of Wilson’s rushing stats are career lows, as he simply hasn’t run the football nearly as well since the knee injury.
With some uncertainty about his knee, it’s hard to tell if we will see the running ability of Wilson on full display this postseason. Wilson hasn’t had a good game running the ball since a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in November. That being said, don’t be surprised to see him more inclined to run the football in the playoffs compared to the regular season.
Wilson has certainly been great since coming into the NFL. However, there are quarterbacks in the NFC that are playing better than he has this season.
