There were a lot of expectations for the Giants this season. After an offseason spending spree and a new head coach, the Giants were expected to bounce back after a few down seasons. In 2016, they were able to do just that.

All of the money that was invested on the defensive side of the ball has really paid off for New York. Despite the struggles of their offense for much of the season, the defense has been able to carry them to the postseason.

One of the reasons why the Giants offense has struggled is because of quarterback Eli Manning. It has without a doubt been a down season for Manning in 2016. This season, Manning has totaled 26 passing touchdowns and 16 interceptions. Also, he has the lowest quarterback rating of any of the NFC playoff quarterbacks.

It isn’t all Manning’s fault that the Giants offense has struggled this season. In addition to the offensive line struggling, the Giants also haven’t had much of a running game all season. As a two-time Super Bowl Champion, it is hard to count Manning out. However, nothing this season has shown that he will be able to spark the Giants’ offense in the playoffs.
