Round Four: Bryce Petty, Quarterback, Baylor

Bryce Petty finally got the chance to play in 2016, and the results were not what Jets’ fans were hoping for.

While Petty’s three touchdowns and seven interceptions could be attributed to poor offensive line play, the performance just raised more questions about the team’s quarterback position moving forward. He struggles to place the ball accurately and cannot read a defense for blitzes and schemes well.

While Petty will undergo surgery this off-season, there is still questions about whether he is the future starter for the team. However, Petty has shown the arm strength and mobility to be a quarterback at the NFL level. Even if he can amount to a decent game manager, it would be a steal to find a useful quarterback in the fourth round.
