The New York Knicks face the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on December 28th, 2016. Here is all the information you will need to watch the game.

The New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks face off tonight at Philips Arena. It is the second of four times that the teams will play this season. The Knicks picked up a victory in the first game, defeating the Hawks 104-94 at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks come into this matchup with a 16-14 record, losing their last game on Christmas Day to the Boston Celtics. The Hawks also head into the game coming off a loss, falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.

Tonight is the first game of a three-game road trip for the Knicks. It would be a huge boost for the Knicks to pick up a victory tonight, as their next two games on the road trip are on a back-to-back against the New Orleans Pelicans and Houston Rockets this weekend.

The Hawks, on the other hand, are starting a three-game homestand tonight. They start off with the Knicks before hosting the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs this weekend. Tonight will bring a good matchup at the point guard spot.

More from New York Knicks

Dennis Schroder has taken over for Jeff Teague and is performing well. Schroder leads the team with 17.3 points and 6.2 assists per game. He will be going up against Derrick Rose, who is averaging 17.1 points and 4.4 assists per game. Schroder struggled mightily in the first matchup, missing all eight of his shot attempts with only three assists while Rose scored 14 points with seven assists.

Another player to keep an eye on is Dwight Howard. Rookie Willy Hernangomez was able to get under his skin and had a good game with seven points and eight rebounds. He combined with Kyle O’Quinn, who scored eight points with eight rebounds, to help keep Howard off his game.

Howard did score 18 points with 18 rebounds, but he did not impact the game as much as we have seen him be capable of. Tonight, Howard will also have to deal with Joakim Noah, who missed the first game because he was sick.
