Jason Witten

One of the issues for the Giants defense against the Pittsburgh Steelers was their inability to stop tight ends. Due to the Steelers have multiple great weapons on offense, their tight ends were able to do a lot of damage.

Against the Steelers, Ladarius Green was able to have a great game against the Giants defense. In the win, Green totaled six receptions, 110 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown. In addition to the big game from Green, Jesse James also played well. Against the Giants, James totaled three receptions for 32 receiving yards. Overall, Ben Roethlisberger targeted his tight ends 15 times in the game.

In the first Cowboys vs Giants matchup, Jason Witten was the favorite target of Dak Prescott. In the one-point loss in Week 1, Witten totaled nine receptions and 66 receiving yards. Against the Vikings last week, Witten had a long streak of consecutive games with a reception broken.

On Sunday, expect to see Witten more involved in the offense than we saw against the Vikings. The Giants really struggled to stop tight ends last week, and Witten and the Cowboys might look to capitalize on that. Despite his age, Witten is still capable of  hurting the Giants on Sunday night.
