When watching the Cowboys, it is quite obvious that they have the best offensive line in football. After a few seasons of investing first round draft picks into their offensive line, the Cowboys have assembled the best unit in the NFL.

One of the strengths for the Giants in recent weeks has been their pass-rush. This offseason, the Giants invested a lot of money into their defensive line. So far, that decision has been a good one. The combination of Jason-Pierre Paul and Olivier Vernon has been very good for the Giants.

Unfortunately, Pierre-Paul was injured in the Giants loss to the Steelers. After undergoing hernia surgery, Pierre-Paul is likely out for the rest of the season. Prior to getting injured, Pierre-Paul was playing some amazing football for the Giants. Against the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears, Pierre-Paul totaled 5.5 sacks. Now that Pierre-Paul is out, Vernon will be asked to do even more.

After a slow start to the season, Vernon has really been playing well in the last five games. During that span, Vernon has totaled seven sacks, and he has been the force that the Giants hoped for when they signed him. With Pierre-Paul out, all attention will be on keeping Vernon from getting into the backfield.
