Coaching Grade: A

Head coach Ben McAdoo and his staff have come under fire multiple times this season. But when credit is due you need to give it and McAdoo and his staff earned it tonight.

McAdoo was finally able to get something going on the ground tonight as the Giants schemed well and got it done when they needed it. He also made a gutsy call early in the fourth quarter on fourth-and-goal. The Giants offense converted and made McAdoo look good.

Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was on his game tonight. The Giants gave the Bengals a different look virtually every play. He blitzed at the right times and kept Dalton uncomfortable in the pocket, literally collapsing it on him a couple of times. After seeing the weird formation on the Bengals first drive the Giants were ready for it the rest of the game.

The coaching staff prepped their players extremely well tonight. The Giants picked up a hard fought victory over a game Bengals squad that also came ready to play. They constantly put their players in position to succeed and they took full advantage. The players got the job done on the field but the coaching staff deserves some credit as well for pressing the right buttons and making the right calls throughout the night.
