The New York Giants picked up a hard-fought victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. The Giants defeated the Bengals 21-20, continuing their trend of playing close games and coming out on the winning side.

This was the eighth time in nine games that a Giants game was decided by seven or fewer points. The only time it wasn’t was when the Giants lost on the road to the Minnesota Vikings earlier in the season.

With the victory, the Giants move to 6-3 on the season. That is the quietest six victories a team can have and a lot of it has to do with how close the games are. The Giants don’t blow teams out but they are getting the job done in close games, something they didn’t do last season.

That was on full display against the Bengals, as this was a game they definitely would have lost last season. The defense did its job when called upon and the offense got the job done in crunch time as well. It was a total team effort and every unit had their moments to shine and chip in for the victory.

The Giants are beginning to jell and are picking up steam at the right time. They are riding a four-game winning streak and could really stretch that streak out with games against the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns on the docket.

Before we look towards those games, let’s take a look back at the victory over the Bengals. Check out our Giants team grades from their sixth victory of the season.
