The New York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23 on Sunday and Odell Becham Jr. was one of the key players for the Giants in the victory.

It appears as though New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is starting to hit his stride. After being held without a touchdown through the first four games of the season, he now has five scores over the last four games.

Beckham Jr. had two touchdowns against the Eagles on Sunday. The first one came early in the first quarter after Giants safety Landon Collins intercepted Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, giving the Giants great starting field position. A few plays later, Giants quarterback Eli Manning hit Beckham Jr. for a 26-yard touchdown pass.

The Giants were able to jump out to an early 14-0 lead. However, the Eagles got back in the game very quickly. After a Ryan Mathews 8-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter, the Giants’ lead was down to just four points.

On the next drive, Manning responded by swiftly driving the Giants down the field. The drive ended with Manning finding Beckham Jr. in the back of the end zone for a one-yard touchdown reception. This gave the Giants a 21-10 lead.

Those two touchdown receptions were the only two catches that Beckham Jr. had in the first half. His next reception came during the Giants’ first drive of the second half. The Giants went on to score on a Sterling Shepard 32-yard touchdown catch, extending their lead to 28-17. Beckham had one more catch throughout the rest of the game.

Even though Beckham Jr. only had four receptions for 46 yards in the victory, he was still one of the most impactful players in the game for the Giants. This is the second time this season that he’s had two touchdowns in a game. The other instance came in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.

That day, Beckham Jr. had eight catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns. His second touchdown reception was for 66 yards and came with under two minutes left in the game, giving the Giants a 27-23 lead.

The Giants will be in very good shape going forward if Beckham Jr. continues to have multi-touchdown games. Manning has one of the best weapons in the NFL in Beckham Jr., and he has not hesitated to utilize him lately.
