New York Knicks Takeaways From Preseason
The New York Knicks wrapped up their preseason last night. Check out our takeaways from the preseason as the Knicks prepare for the regular season.
The New York Knicks wrapped up their preseason last night against the Brooklyn Nets with an 116-11 victory. With the win, the Knicks finished the preseason 4-2 and head into the regular season with some momentum.
Things started out rough against the Houston Rockets in their first game, but they steadily improved as the games went on. Head coach Jeff Hornacek is already getting his fingerprints on the team, and it is evident during the games.
The Knicks played at a faster pace, which resulted in higher scoring games. They didn’t look as stagnant offensively as they did last season, as Hornacek’s system gets them moving more, emphasizing shots earlier in the shot clock. He also uses more pick-and-roll, while trying to get out in the open court more.
