The Giants will once again be shorthanded in the defensive backfield. SaftiesNat BerheandDarian Thompsonhave both already been ruled out. Joining them in street clothes Sunday will be right tackleMarshall Newhouse.

Berhe is dealing with a concussion. He actually returned to practice earlier in the week, but was unable to finish the session. Head coach Ben McAdoosaidthat he hda to be pulled from practice early and was placed back in the NFL concussion protocol.

That is good news for the Giants, who could really use another win this week. The Rams and Giants are two of the five teams with three wins currently in the NFC that look like they will be fighting for a Wild Card spot. Add in the fact that the NFC East is stronger than people expected, and the Giants cannot afford to fall further behind; despite being at the .500 mark, the Giants are last in their division.
