The New York Jets sent the fans at MetLife Stadium home early, as the Seattle Seahawks picked up a road win in Week 4.

36. Final. 17. 30. 27

The New York Jets had another rough afternoon in Week 4 as they were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks. It was a struggle once again throughout most of the game, as the offense couldn’t get much consistency.

Without Eric Decker, the Jets changed their offensive game plan some. Brandon Marshall was targeted heavily, having the ball thrown his way 12 times. We saw more Bilal Powell today than we have in the season, as he was targeted nine times.

But once again Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled with turnovers. After throwing six interceptions against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, he threw three more against the Seahawks. While they were not all his fault, Fitzpatrick once again turned the ball over despite the Jets still being in the game.

More from New York Jets

Across the field, the hampered Russell Wilson was the exact opposite as he had a field day against the Jets secondary. Wilson picked the Jets apart with ease, completing 23-of-32 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns. He didn’t have his patented scrambling availability, but it didn’t matter today against the Jets.

The quarterback play was a big factor today, as the Fitzpatrick struggled again while Wilson shined.

Three Stars

QB Russell Wilson, Seahawks — Wilson did whatever he wanted to against the Jets today. Even though he battled a sprained MCL and high ankle sprain, he had a successful afternoon and led his team to victory.

WR Quincy Enunwa, Jets — Without Eric Decker, the Jets will be relying more on Enunwa to fill the void. He had a good game against a strong secondary, finishing with six receptions for 60 yards.

TE Jimmy Graham, Seahawks — Graham has had a slower than anticipated start to his Seahawks career, but he continued the trend of tight ends hurting the Jets. He led all players with 113 receiving yards, making six receptions.

Things will not get any easier for the Jets, as they will now head on the road to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Seahawks will return home and have the week off, as their bye fell on Week 5. They will host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 when they return to the field.
