– Big day for Dunlap

The Jets will have a major issue on the right side of their offensive line heading into the season. Projected starting right tackle Breno Giacomini was placed on the PUP list to start the season, which means he is out until at least Week 7.

Filling in for him at right tackle has been Brent Qvale and Ben Ijalana. Both have played about an equal amount in the preseason, but neither stood out for the Jets. Due to neither tackle playing great or poorly, Todd Bowles will likely be using them both in Week 1.

Unfortunately for the Jets, they will be seeing defensive end Carlos Dunlap lining up across from one of their most glaring weaknesses. Unlike most great pass-rushers, Dunlap lines up on the right tackle mostly. In 2015, Dunlap had a career year for the Bengals, and he will be in a position to succeed in Week 1.

Unless the Jets are willing to commit extra help onto the right side of the line, Dunlap will be after Fitzpatrick all day.

Prediction: 2.5 sacks.
