The Brooklyn Nets have traded Thaddeus Young to the Indiana Pacers for two draft picks. What is the reaction from fans?

The Brooklyn Nets are in rebuilding mode after their championship aspirations came to a crashing halt. After a very poor season last year, the Nets are moving in a different direction led by general manager Sean Marks.

With the 2016 NBA Draft hours away, Marks traded his second-best player to get back into the first round of the draft. The Pacers sent the 20th pick in this years draft, and a future second-round pick to the Nets for Young, as the Pacers are trying to win now.

Young played very well for the Nets last season, as he averaged 15.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, but the organization is in desperate need to try and acquire young assets. The trade has had some mixed reactions on social media, as let’s take a look at what some fans have had to say.

As you can see, the reaction was rather mixed with the real question being what player will be available for the Nets with the 20th pick now. The trading of Young gives Nets fans some added interest in the NBA Draft tonight, as whether they like it or not, this is the beginning of the rebuild.

It is hard to imagine the Nets will be able to convince a star to come to Brooklyn this offseason, but the Nets do have a ton of cap space now after the trade. Now, let’s see what direction Marks goes in with the 20th pick in the draft.
