The New York Knicks picked up a sweep of the home-and-home, back-to-back over the Chicago Bulls the last two nights.

The New York Knicks were faced with a daunting home-and-home with the Chicago Bulls, which was also a back-to-back set with each team playing a game on their home court. With the Bulls fighting for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, it would have been no surprise to see them come out, play hard and run the Knicks off the court in at least one, if not both of the games.

That was not the case, as the Knicks took the first game of the series last night, defeating the Bulls in Chicago 115-107. Defeating a team in a home-and-home is never an easy task, but the Knicks returned to their home court of Madison Square Garden and controlled the game even more this time around, blowing the Bulls out 106-94.

It was an impressive victory for the Knicks, who led wire-to-wire, putting another stake into the Bulls playoff hopes. Carmelo Anthony, who missed Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with migraines, had a strong two games. After pouring in 24 on 10-of-22 shooting in the first meeting with three rebounds and five assists, he followed it up with 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Rookie Kristaps Porzingis was also able to have good performances, as he played well against the Bulls all season long. Porzingis double-doubled in both games, scoring a career-high 29 with 10 rebounds in the first game and 19 and 10 in the second game.

For the Bulls, Derrick Rose was strong in both games. He had a big night in the first game with 21 points, and followed it up with 30 tonight. Rose was the only Bulls player to really bring it in both games, as they came out a bit flat against a team they probably thought they could beat without putting forth maximum effort.

The Knicks were able to take full advantage and string together consecutive wins for the first time since January 18th and 20th, which was also the last time that the Knicks were over the .500 mark. These are victories that the Knicks can enjoy, and enjoy it they did.

Derrick Williams provided monster highlights once again, as his athleticism was on full display at Madison Square Garden tonight.

Williams and Jose Calderon have connected on multiple impressive alley-oop dunks this season, and the one tonight could be their most impressive. Calderon threw a pass from three-quarters court that Williams finished with authority to get the crowd going.

The Knicks will look to continue this momentum through the weekend when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.
