– Panthers force Broncos into mistakes

One of the big differences in the Panthers’ two playoff victories was their ability to force turnovers against two very good quarterbacks. In the NFC Divisional Round against the Seahawks, Luke Kuechly was able to intercept Russell Wilson early on in the game and return it for a touchdown, which was one of the main reasons the Seahawks faced an uphill battle all game.

Against Carson Palmer and the Cardinals, the Panthers’ defense was outstanding, as they forced him to throw four interceptions. The Panthers also were able to force three fumbles, as they handled the talented Cardinals with ease.

Manning has been prone to turnovers this season but has been able to avoid them so far in the playoffs against the Steelers and the Patriots. This is still the same quarterback that threw 17 interceptions in the regular season, and the Panthers’ opportunistic defense will likely be able to force some turnovers from Manning and the Broncos’ offense.

Prediction: Two interceptions, one forced fumble.
