Demaryius Thomas struggles

It was another great regular season for Broncos’ wide receiver, Demaryius Thomas, as he totaled 105 receptions, 1,305 receiving yards, and six receiving touchdowns. Even with Manning struggling for much of the season, Thomas was able to have a successful season for the Broncos, as was a key contributor to the Broncos having the best record in the AFC.

In the playoffs, Thomas has not looked like the elite wide receiver we expect him to be, as against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a favorable matchup, Thomas totaled four receptions and 40 receiving yards. Against the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game, Thomas was nowhere to be found for most of the game, as he totaled just two receptions and 12 receiving yards.

The targets have been there for Thomas, as he has been targeted 15 times in the last two games, but the production hasn’t been there. Things will not be getting any easier for Thomas against the Panthers, as he will likely see a good amount of Josh Norman in the game.

Prediction: 4 receptions and 45 receiving yards
