New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills: Preview, Game Time and TV Schedule
The New York Jets will be playing for a spot in the postseason agaisnt Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills. Can’t find where to watch the game? We have all the info you need.
The New York Jets have a chance to make the postseason if they can pick up a victory at MetLife Stadium this afternoon. It will not be an easy task though, as they will be traveling to take on former head coach Rex Ryan and their AFC East division rival Buffalo Bills. If the Jets win, they are in, simple as that. But you can be sure that Ryan will have his troops ready for this one to try and end the Jets season in the Week 17 regular season finale.
Ryan and the Bills got the best of the Jets in their first meeting of the season. The Bills were able to knock off the Jets at MetLife Stadium in Week 10 on Thursday Night Football, 22-17. It was a rather ugly game for the Jets, as the Bills defense really stepped up their game and the offense did just enough to get the victory. It was a blueprint very similar to the one Ryan used with the Jets, as the Bills ground game was strong, the defense opposed it’s will on it’s opponent and the passing game did just enough to get the victory.

The Jets will be hoping that does not happen this time around, because a victory will get them into the playoffs. It would be their first playoff berth since 2010 when they lost to Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game.
The Jets offense is playing at a high level right now, led by Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback. Fitzpatrick is having a career year under center for the Jets, and has been on fire as of late. He has only one interception in his last five games to go with 13 touchdowns, as the Jets have gone undefeated in that span of games as well. Will he be able to continue that against the Bills?
There is a good chance, as the Bills defense has taken a step back under Ryan. After having the fourth ranked defense in the NFL last season, the Bills enter their Week 17 matchup with the 16th ranked defense in points allowed and 20th in yardage. They are worse against the pass, ranking 23rd in yardage allowed. That could mean Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker are in for big afternoons.

The Jets pass defense has had some problems of its own this season as well, and will have to be careful with Tyrod Taylor. The dual-threat quarterback has proven to be a competent starting QB, as he can get the job done with his arm and especially his legs. He is completing 63.6 percent of his passes and is as dangerous as they come on the ground.
Without LeSean McCoy the Bills run game is not as scary on paper, but Karlos Williams and Mike Gillislee have filled in well and will give the Jets something to think about on the ground game.
Will that be enough for Ryan and the Bills to knock off the Jets and dash their playoff hopes? Or will Todd Bowles lead the Jets to the postseason in his first season at the helm of the team? You’ll have to tune in to find out. Can’t figure out where to find the game? Don’t worry; we have you covered with all the information that you will need.
