Player Of The Game: Lance Thomas

In a game that the Knicks seemed to be a step slow all night and lacking energy, one player who brought it was Lance Thomas. Thomas was a sparkplug off the bench for the Knicks, and performed on both ends of the court.

He played his normal tough defense, but added a ton of scoring to go with it tonight. Thomas led the way offensively for the Knicks, pouring in a team-high 24 points on a perfect 9-for-9 from the field. He nailed all three three-pointers that he attempted and all three free throws as well. In addition, he added two rebounds, two assists and one steal as Thomas stepped up big time tonight.

It was disappointing to see such a strong effort from Thomas go to waste, as he tied his career-high for points but it came in a losing effort. Thomas has really improved his jump shot, as he is no longer a liability on that end of the court. He has earned his spot in the rotation, and tonight was just another example of why.
