The New York Giants and New York Jets will be renewing their once every four years rivalry in Week 13. Can’t find the game? We have you covered with all the information you need.

The New York Giants and New York Jets will be renewing their rivalry later this afternoon, as the two teams will be facing off at MetLife Stadium in Week 13. This is an extremely important game for both teams, as the Giants and Jets are both holding onto thier playoff hopes and cannot afford to lose many games down the stretch.

The Giants, who enter the game 5-6, are tied for first place in the NFC East with the Washington Redskins but are losing the tiebreaker and find themselves on the outside looking in. They missed a golden opportunity to put some distance between themselves and the division last week against the Redskins, and now will have to fight and scrap throughout the rest of the season and hope the Redskins lose some games.

The Jets enter the game 6-5 and are in what is essentially a five-way tie with the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers. Because of head-to-head matchups and conference winning percentage, the Jets are currently on the outside looking in currently of the AFC Wild Card picture. A loss to the Giants, despite them being in the opposite conference, would do a lot of damage as they could really tumble as they also have bad tiebreakers with the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills, the two teams right behind them in the standings.

Those playoff implications make this a huge game for both teams as they fight for their playoff lives. It is always a big game among fans, as bragging rights for four years are up for grabs. Those are bragging rights that the Giants fans have had for over two decades, as they have won the last five regular season matchups between the two franchises. The last time the Jets defeated the Giants was in 1993 when Boomer Esiason was under center for Gang Green against Phil Simms for Big Blue.

Will that streak continue this season? If Eli Manning can get time behind a banged up offensive line and find Odell Beckham Jr., there is a good chance that it will happen. With Darrelle Revis and Marcus Williams sidelined, the Jets will have to count on Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine to slow down the dynmaic Beckham Jr. The Jets had better hope Cromartie can play as well as he talks, as he has been vocal about Beckham Jr., calling him a one-year wonder earlier in the year and saying he has a lot of growing to do earlier this week.

The Giants are not without problems, as the offensive line is banged up and they will have to slow down a strong Jets defensive front. Also, the Jets have a good running back in Chris Ivory the Giants will have their hands full with trying to slow down.

Which undermanned defense will be able to step up and help get their team the win? Will this be another jumping off spot for the Giants on a Super Bowl run? You’ll have to tune in to find out, as the Giants and Jets face off and play for their respective playoff lives. Can’t figure out where to find the game?
