Player Of The Game: Lance Thomas

Facing off with his old team, Lance Thomas came up big for the Knicks off the bench. He is one of the better two-way players that the Knicks have, as his versatility defensively makes it difficult to take him off the court as he can defend multiple positions. That in itself is enough to earn him playing time, but when he adds offense like he did tonight it is a big bonus.

His 12 points off the bench were the most for any player on the second unit tonight for the Knicks, as he displayed an improved jump shot again. He knocked down 2-3 from deep, and another jumper near the end of the third quarter. He also delivered a devastating dunk on the face break on a pass from Langston Galloway.

Thomas also added three rebounds and one assist on the night, as he continues to be a great glue guy for the Knicks. His plus/minus ratio of +5 was also the second highest on the team, behind only Jerian Grant, as the team played well when he was on the court. He is an important player for the Knicks success, and when they are playing well he is usually on the court.
