Matchup Of The Game Recap

In our keys to the game, we highlighted the matchup between power forwards Kristaps Porzingis and Serge Ibaka as the matchup to watch. This one didn’t quite live up to the pregame hype, as both got a little bit lost in the shuffle.

Both players are complementary pieces, and tonight that was seen. Porzingis came back down to earth after his career game against the Hornets, scoring only seven points with six rebounds, two assists and one block in 26 minutes. He did make another three-pointer tonight too, as he did showcase some of the tantalizing talent he possesses.

Ibaka also didn’t have a huge impact. He was 4-of-13 from the field, missing both his three-point attempts and scoring only eight points. He grabbed only three rebounds and had only one assist in 30 minutes and didn’t deliver much with Kevin Durant sidelined.
