The New York Knicks will be traveling to take on the Washington Wizards on Halloween night. Despite this being only the third game of the season for the Knicks, they have already put their fans through the ringer. They were as happy as can be after game one, as the Knicks blew out the Milwaukee Bucks to open their season. But, their home opener the next night didn’t go as well, as the Atlanta Hawks took control of the game early and never relinquished it.
So here we sit, the Knicks are 1-1 heading into Washington to take on the 2-0 Wizards. The Wizards have also beaten the Bucks, defeating them last night and beating the Orlando Magic in a close game their first contest of the season. This will be another tough task for the Knicks, as they play a third consecutive Eastern Conference playoff team from last year; this is the third of nine games in the first 11 of the season that the Knicks will be playing against a playoff team from last season.

The Knicks will once again have their hands full tonight, as the Wizards are one of the up-and-coming teams not only in the Eastern Conference, but in the NBA. They have a dynamic duo in the backcourt with a seasoned veteran frontcourt that gets the job done. It is a nice mix of players on the roster, as they all fit and piece together well. It makes for good cohesion that will be difficult for the Knicks to slow down.
In four matchups last season, the Knicks were swept, as the Wizards won all four games rather easily. All four games were decided by double-digits, with the closest one being a 10-point loss in January. For the season, the Knicks lost to the Wizards by an average of 12.5 points per game. That is something the Knicks will be looking to turn around this season, as Carmelo Anthony played in only two of those games, and the Knicks roster is much improved this season.
