Considering the dire straights the Giants secondary was in coming into the game, they did relatively well. In their first game without Prince Amukamara things could have certainly gone much worse, but Sam Bradford made a number of miscues that the Giants took advantage of.

Bradford would throw three interceptions in the game, two of which were gifts. He overthrew Zach Ertz to his left in the first half, right into Jayron Hosley’s arms. The second interception was even worse, as it looked like Riley Cooper cut his route short and Bradford aired it out deep. Brandon Meriweather was waiting there like it was a punt. The third was a great play made by rookie Landon Collins, intercepting a pass intended for Ertz at the goalline. It was great ball skills shown by Collins, who has been a liability at times in pass coverage.

Bradford finished the game with an identical 24-of-38 to Manning, but finished with almost 100 more yards, finishing the evening with 280 total. He threw one touchdown, to Cooper, to go with his three interceptions. He was sacked only once and was hit three more times as the Giants pass rush was nonexistent too often once again.

The pass defense was not the problem tonight, but were taken advantage of by miscues in other areas of the team as the gave up a few chunk plays.
