Rushing Offense Grade: C

The only thing keeping this from being a failing grade was that Rashad Jennings had some success running the ball tonight. Unfortunately they Giants weren’t able to go to him often, as they fell behind early and never gained traction after that.

Jennings ran the ball 13 times for 63 yards, but outside of that it was an ugly night on the ground for the Giants. Manning was actually the second leading rusher, scrambling for 12 yards on the last Giants drive of the night. Andre Williams struggled once again, gaining only six yards on his five carries, while Vereen gained zero yards on his four carries.

The Giants rush offense hasn’t been there all season, so it was disappointing to see them not be able to feed Jennings more in a game he was finding some success. He didn’t do himself any favors fumbling in the second quarter, which put him in Tom Coughlin’s doghouse for a short period of time.

The Giants remain the only team in the NFL to not yet rush for 100 yards on the season, and it is hard to pinpoint when that will happen. The Giants have not been able get anything going in their rushing game all season, and there were no real signs of that stopping tonight as they seem intent on working all three players into the running game instead of riding the hot hand.
