Sam Bradford Throws for Career High

Given the circumstances of the game, a perfect storm has been created for the Eagles signal caller. With the injury to Prince Amukamara, the already shorthanded Giants secondary is without one of their best players. With a downgrade in talent level coupled with the performance Sam Bradford is coming off of, it spells trouble for the Giants secondary.

The pass defense for the Giants has been suspect this season. While they haven’t been as bad as it seems on paper, they are still last in the NFL in yardage allowed. The Giants have given 304 yards per game through the air, which is last in the NFL. It is hard to imagine that things will get better without one of their starting corners back there.

The Giants will try and have Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie cover Jordan Matthews as much as they can, but that will leave mismatches at other areas. The Eagles like using Darren Sproles out of the backfield, something the Giants have struggled defending this season even with Amukamara on the field.

This is setting up to be a long evening for the Giants in the secondary against a team that is beginning to get something going offensively. An already poor defense against throwing yards got weaker with an injury, and Bradford will have a field day.
