Chris Ivory once again dominated for the Jets. The Redskins had one of the stronger rush defenses in the NFL coming into the game, ranking 12th in yards allowed. But, this was the second consecutive game that they were beaten on the ground, as Ivory followed up a monster performance by Devonta Freeman last week.

This week, Ivory continued his breakout season. Against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 in London, Ivory set a career-high with 166 yards rushing. Had the Jets not given Zac Stacy an extended role with the game in hand, he probably would have beaten that with how he was running against the Redskins. Instead, he will have to settle for only 146 yards and one touchdown. The 7.3 yards per carry is extremely impressive as Ivory made what was a strong run defense look very poor Sunday afternoon.

Stacy had an expanded role in the offense with Bilal Powell ailing a bit, and received 13 carries. He turned them into 46 yards for an average of 3.5 yards per carry. Ryan Fitzpatrick also got into the rushing forray, running for 31 yards on four attempts, including an 18-yard scramble for a touchdown following an interception by the Jets defense.

As long as Ivory is in the lineup, the Jets offense will continue humming like a well oiled machine. He is proving that he is capable of being a lead back, as he showcased great vision, acceleration and power all afternoon.
