Jets vs. Dolphins: Preview, Game Time and TV Schedule

The New York Jets will be on the road against the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, but not in the way you are used to see. No, the Jets will not be traveling down south to take on the Dolphins at Sun Life Stadium. Instead, the Jets and Dolphins will be heading overseas to play at Wembley Stadium in london as the NFL continues their International Series. This will be the first of three games played this season overseas, as the Buffalo Bills will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7, and the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs will be playing there in Week 8.

But for the Jets and Dolphins, this is an important game for different reasons. For the Jets, they are looking to regain the momentum they had in Week 1 and 2 before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles last week. With Chris Ivory healthy and back in the fold, the Jets should be able to get back to their ground-and-pound attack and not have to rely on the arm of Ryan Fitzpatrick.

For the Dolphins, they could be staring a coaching change right in the face. Joe Philbin’s seat has been getting warmer and warmer all season as the Dolphins have grossly under performed thus far in 2015. Their offense has been inconsistent, and their defense hasn’t been as dominant as it should be according to what they have in paper. Also, they are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Bills in their home opener, so they are looking for anything to get them back on track.

Las Vegas isn’t expecting much from this game scoring wise, as the Jets and Dolphins are tied for the second lowest over/under total right now at 42.5. But, if history tells us anything, this game could be more exciting from an offensive standpoint than expected, as the previous 11 games in London have resulted in some high scoring affairs, with the games averaging 47.7 combined points.

So which AFC East team will return stateside feeling a little better about themselves? You will have to be ready a little earlier than normal on Sunday to catch this game, but we have you covered.

The weather for the game will start brisk but warm up as the game goes on. Temperatures could reach the low 60s, but it will be sunny with almost no chance of precipitation the whole afternoon. It will be a nice atmosphere to play football in, with the biggest adjustment being the field. Wembley Stadium is natural grass that soccer players normally use, not behemoths of men such as football players. It could cause some problems with the field, but at least Mother Nature won’t be impacting the condition of the field.
