Prediction

Running back DeMarco Murray took his talents to the Philadelphia Eagles leaving the Cowboys offensive attack imbalanced. Unproven running back Joseph Randle and oft-injured veteran running back Darren McFadden hope to fill Murray’s cleats behind a talented offensive line.

New York’s defensive line has shown vulnerability against the run particularly with defensive tackle Markus Kuhn and defensive end Cullen Jenkins, per PFF, but Dallas’ running back committee doesn’t have the firepower to take advantage.

This contest will become a vertical shootout by the fourth quarter if Manning’s brand new offensive line serves as his surrounding fortress. He must keep pace with the Romo-Bryant tandem at some point in this game.

In the case of alternating scoring drives, the Giants have more offensive talent from top to bottom to outduel the Cowboys in a close game.

 Prediction: Giants 30, Cowboys 27
