The Giants will not be the only team with a stud at wide receiver Sunday night, as the Cowboys have one of their own in Dez Bryant. Bryant is one of the most talented receivers in the NFL, dominating at times to put his name squarely in the conversation for best in the league.. There was definitely a small hope that Bryant would follow through on his promise to skip Week 1 if he didn’t get the contract he wanted, but he got it and will be on the field against the Giants.

That is not good news for a defense with as many holes in the secondary as the Giants do. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara are a solid duo at cornerback, but there isn’t much else to get excited about. Expect them to skip to Bryant throughout the night, as the Giants will probably be using a lot of shadowing this season as they don’t have much else to rely on beyond those two.

Even with those two shadowing him, the Giants were no match for Bryant last season. In the two games the teams faced off, Bryant went for 16 catches, 237 yards and two touchdowns. To put it simply, he got whatever he wanted and dominated.

Will he be able to do the same this season? We think so, but only to a certain extent. In what will be a small victory for the Giants, they will keep the explosive Bryant out of the end zone, but he will not have a shortcoming of receptions or yards.

Prediction: 12 receptions, 150 yards, zero touchdowns
