– Jets’ run defense will shine

Much of the talk this offseason for the Jets has been about their young and talented defensive line. When all together, Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson, Damon Harrison, and Leonard Williams are going to a headache for opposing offenses.

In Week 1, the Jets will be without Richardson, as he serves the first game of his four-game suspension. Williams left the Jets’ preseason game against the New York Giants with a knee injury, but he is expected to play on Sunday in his first game in the NFL.

With Wilkerson, Harrison, and Williams, the Jets should be able to control the line of scrimmage on the defensive side of the ball. The Browns were in the middle of the road last season in total rushing yards, as they were ranked 17th in the NFL. With the Browns not having the greatest of running games without a premier back, the Jets’ front line should be able to stop the run rather effectively and force Josh McCown to try and beat them.

Prediction: Browns have fewer than 60 total rushing yards.
