24. Detroit Tigers (62-74) Losers in 13 of their last 16 games, the Tigers are looking declawed as ever as the postseason will not be reached. Their road trip was a disaster, as they got pounded by the Blue Jays and then Royals, before losing two of three to the Indians over the weekend. Their powerful offense came up a little short, as Miguel Cabrera, Ian Kinsler and J.D. Martinez have all slowed down at the same time. Also, the pitching still remains a problem, as walks continue to plague them, giving opponents too many base runners.
23. Milwaukee Brewers (60-76) It was a strong week for the Brewers, who continued their dominance over the Pirates this season, sweeping them to start the week. That was right in the middle of their six-game winning streak, as they also took the first two games of the weekend series against the Reds before losing the series finale. Ryan Braun has put together a very strong bounce back season, with a chance to join the 25/25 club for home runs and stolen bases, with a chance to push that to 30/30 if he has a hot September. Adam Lind also continues with one of the most quiet productive seasons in 2015.
22. Arizona Diamondbacks (65-72) Maybe getting over .500 wasn’t such a great thing for the Diamondbacks. Since they got over the .500 mark two weeks ago, they have gone 3-11, including losing four consecutive games this past week. The road trip has been a tough one thus far, as they have started it 2-5, including a sweep at the hand of the Cubs. Even a trip to Coors Field wasn’t enough to get the offense going, as they scored only 19 runs in four games there while scoring nine in three against the Cubs. For once, it wasn’t the pitching staff coming up small for the D-Backs.
