Depending on who you ask, the New York Knicks either had an excellent offseason putting building blocks in place, or they whiffed missing out on big name free agents. Regardless of where you stand, the Knicks have upgraded their roster immensely from what they were putting on the court last season. With training camp right around the corner, we are getting closer and closer to seeing the new-look Knicks in action. We now know when we will get to see them first, as the Knicks released their full preseason schedule for 2015.

The Knicks will be playing six games as they prepare for the 2015 season. They will split them in half, as three of the games will be at Madison Square Garden and the other three will be on the road. The three on the road will be held against the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center, the Charlotte Hornets at the Time Warner Cable Arena and against the rival Boston Celtics at the TD Garden Arena.

You’ll notice one big difference from last season is that the Knicks will not be playing in any unique arenas. Last season they played all of their road games away from NBA arenas, playing at Mohegan Sun, the XL Center in Connecticut, the Carrier Dome in Syracuse and the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Traveling to places you will not be during the regular season is always a nice way to garner attention and pick up new fans. Unfortunately that will not be in the cards for the Knicks this season, as they will be playing in NBA arenas all preseason. They will also be playing one less preseason game than last season, which could be taken as a good or bad thing depending on who you talk to.

The one team that stands out on this schedule is Paschoalotto/Bauru, a team from Brazil. They won the 2015 FIBA Americas league, but do not have any players that casual basketball fans will recognize as they have no players with any prior NBA experience. One player on their team, Rafael Hettsheimer, has a workout planned with the San Antonio Spurs so he is a player the Knicks could be seeing more of in the future.

We are only about six weeks away from seeing the Knicks take the court again, as basketball is quickly approaching again. Here is the full preseason schedule that the Knicks will play in 2015.

Wednesday, October 7th, 2015, 7:30 PM vs. Paschoalotto/Bauru (Brazil) (MSG)
