Hawks Win Series

While the Nets have a veteran-laden team that will want to show they aren’t as poor as their regular season showed, they do not have enough to keep up with the Hawks. Even their own head coach Lionel Hollins said the Nets hold no advantage in this series, and it will be an uphill battle right from the start.

It will not be a total massacre though, as the Nets will give the Hawks better competition than people think, as they adjust to being the hunted and favorite instead of the hunting and underdog. With Lopez continuing his tear, and Teletovic returning unexpectedly from his blood clots, the Nets will get the spark they needed to avoid the sweep.

The Nets will not lose by an average of 16.75 points in these four losses like the four they suffered during the regular season, but they will ultimately lose the series in the gentlemen’s sweep, 4-1.
