Harvey Much Anticipated Return

Harvey, aka The Dark Knight, will be making his much anticipated return, as he hasn’t appeared in an MLB game that counts since August of 2013. He will be raring to go and the Nationals will be his first victims.

Harvey was absolutely dominant in the spring, as he looked to be in midseason form, picking right up where he left off in 2013.

It will be interesting to see how the Mets handle him not only in his first start of the season, but as 2015 continues on. The Mets have said they will watch Harvey’s innings and pitch counts, taking him out of games earlier than normal sometimes to save him for the stretch run. It will be worth keeping an eye on all season, as Harvey is as much of a gamer and competitor as the next guy, and will not want to be coming out of games just to save him for later on in the season.

Against the Nationals in his career Harvey has been dominant, starting four games and having an ERA of 1.00 in 27 innings. He will be starting for the Mets in an important game, as it could decide the first series. Getting a win in the first series of the season against a team like the Nationals would be a great start for the Mets, as six of their first seven series of the season are against NL East opponents.
