So there you have it, the Mets final 25-man roster to start the season. The Mets finished Spring Training Saturday, so the next time you see them the games will count. Now that you know who will be in Washington for the Mets, let’s take a look at what their lineup could look like Monday afternoon.

According to Adam Rubin, the Mets Opening Day lineup could look like this after talking with Collins:

That lineup looks much different from what fans are expecting, as it was widely assumed that Murphy would once again occupy the two-hole ahead of Wright. But it also speaks to the versatility that Collins has at his disposal, as there are so many movable parts in the Mets’ lineup this season.

Expect the Mets to tinker with their lineup a little bit until they find the combination that works best. They do not have too much time to spare though, as Collins cannot afford a poor start to the season or he may not be the manager for too much longer.
