This season, the Islanders have dominated the season series against the Devils. In the three games, the Devils have been close in the losses, as in the first game they lost 3-1. In the next two matchups, the Devils would force overtime in each game.

In the December 15th game, the Devils and Islanders would decide the game in a shootout, which is a place the Devils don’t want to be in. In the shootout, it would be Josh Bailey, who scored the winner for the Islanders.

In the overtime loss, it would be Tavares scoring the game-winning goal, as we’ve seen numerous times this season, Tavares can will his team to the win. The Islanders need this game against the Devils badly, and led by Tavares will get a much-needed win on Saturday.
