– Winner will advance

No matter who advances between the Bulls and Mountaineers, they will have a great chance to advance to the next round, as they will play the winner of the Maryland, Valparaiso game. Maryland is the favorite to win, and if that’s who the Bulls or Mountaineers face, they will have a good chance.

The Big 12 has really struggled in the tournament thus far with Baylor and Iowa St. both losing, which doesn’t bode well for the Mountaineers, as both of those teams were better than West Virginia.

This is only the first time the Bulls have made the NCAA Tournament, and they will be looking to not only win the first-round against the Mountaineers, but advance to the Sweet 16.
