Brooklyn Nets Rumors: Forward Bojan Bogdanovic is reportedly drawing interest from the Washington Wizards on the trade market.

Brooklyn Nets rumors are bound to pick up in the coming days. With the NBA Trade Deadline set for February 23rd we are set to see plenty of rumors flying around. The Nets may be the worst team in the NBA at 9-49, but they could be a big part of the trade deadline.

The Nets have a number of players that could drum up interest. Brook Lopez is at the top of that list. The big man is having one of the best seasons of his career and has added a three-point shot to his offensive arsenal. If the Nets want to restock their assets, moving Lopez makes sense. Is that a move that the Nets will consider?

Moving Lopez will be difficult, but the Nets could consider trading his frontcourt running mate, Trevor Booker. Booker is also having a strong season and could help bolster the frontcourt of a team with playoff aspirations.

The last player to keep an eye on is Bojan Bogdanovic. Bogdanovic is set to hit the open market following this season, and he is reportedly drawing interest on the trade market.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Washington Wizards have expressed interest in Bogdanovic. The Wizards are looking to upgrade their bench unit and are reportedly willing to move a first round pick to do so. That makes the Nets a good trade partner, as they are looking to acquire future picks and are in full rebuild mode.

This is the type of deal that the Nets will be making to look prior to Thursday’s deadline. They need to add picks to help push the rebuild. The only way to do that is to make trades. The Nets also need to see what they have in their younger players.

Evaluating and adding future pieces should be the first two things on the checklist for the Nets. They need to figure out which players are worth keeping around as building blocks while also looking to add as many assets as they can get their hands on.

If they trade Bogdanovic, who is averaging 26.9 minutes per game, the Nets would have a lot of minutes available on the wing. It would give them a chance to truly evaluate players such as Caris LeVert and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
