The New York Knicks suffered a horrible loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Who were three players that disappointed in the game?

The New York Knicks suffered another horrible loss on Monday night at Madison Square Garden to the Los Angeles Lakers. With the Lakers not being a very good team this year, this was a game that the Knicks had to get on their home court.

With trade rumors swirling, the Knicks still have a realistic shot of getting the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. However, games like tonight prove that the Knicks are not a playoff team after their lackluster performance against the Lakers.

Despite getting Derrick Rose back, the Knicks were never really in this game. Defense continues to be a major issue, as they allowed 121 points. After making a solid comeback effort against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night, the Knicks’ effort was nowhere near what it was when they were trying to rally.

There weren’t a lot of positives for the Knicks, but Carmelo Anthony did play a good game. While most of the starters really struggled for the Knicks, Anthony was able to total 26 points on an efficient 10-for-17 shooting. Despite Anthony playing well, it wasn’t near enough to get a win on Monday. The Knicks did get some good production from their bench, but a lot of that was in junk time with the Lakers clearly taking the foot off of the gas pedal.

In a horrible loss, here are three players who disappointed for the Knicks.
