Courtney Lee

In a favorable matchup against the Lakers, Courtney Lee was one of the reasons why the Knicks suffered the loss. As part of the starting lineup that was blitzed by the Lakers, Lee was pretty much a non-factor. In the loss, Lee totaled just eight points, three rebounds, and one assist in 25 minutes.

Considering how well Lee just played against the Cleveland Cavaliers, his showing against the Lakers was really disappointing. In the loss to the Cavaliers on Saturday, Lee totaled 17 points and shot 7-for-11 from the field.

In the loss to the Lakers, Lee totaled just six shots in the game. Lee has been playing pretty well since Derrick Rose has been out. When Rose returned, Lee’s production took a major hit today. Considering that Justin Holiday played well and the game was a blowout, Lee didn’t see many minutes in the second half.

Consistency has been an issue for Lee all season. A poor game against the Lakers is certainly something that shouldn’t happen. While many other players disappointed, Lee didn’t do his part as a starter.

After a strong end to the month of January, Lee has not started February the way he would have liked. Hopefully, he will be able to bounce back along with his teammates from this poor performance.
