The New York Giants were able to pick up a 22-16 victory over the visiting Chicago Bears this weekend. With the victory, the Giants pushed their record to 7-3 and their winning streak to five games. The five-game winning streak is tied for the second longest in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, behind only the nine-game winning streak of the Dallas Cowboys.

With the loss, the Chicago Bears fell to 2-8, losing all six games away from Soldier Field. They are now riding a two-game losing streak. It did not look like the Bears would come out on the losing end going into halftime.

The Bears were clearly the better team in the first half, leading the Giants 16-9 going into the half. New York looked uninterested in playing and the Bears were taking full advantage. The flip was switched in the locker room, as the Giants came out looking like a totally different team.

Things began clicking for Big Blue as they asserted their dominance over the Bears. They outscored the Bears 13-0 in the second half, but in normal Giants fashion they didn’t make things overly easy. They got very conservative after gaining the lead in the third quarter, almost leading to their demise.

But, once again, the defense bailed them out by getting stops when they needed. It was another example of how the Giants have improved this season over last season. They are not 6-1 in games decided by less than a touchdown after being 1-8 last season.

It wasn’t a pretty victory, but they all count the same on the record. Check out our team grades for the Giants from their victory over the Bears in Week 11.
