The Houston Rockets face the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on November 2nd, 2016. Here is all the information you need to watch the game.

The Houston Rockets travel to take on the New York Knicks for the first of two times this season. The teams met this past preseason, with the Rockets blowing the Knicks out 130-103. The regular season is a totally different monster, but the Knicks know they will have their hands full.

Both teams are playing the second end of a back-to-back. The Rockets lost on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers 128-120. The Knicks lost as well, falling on the road to the Detroit Pistons 102-89.

If the Knicks want to defeat the Rockets, they will need to get things figured out offensively. They didn’t score the final 5:40 of the game against the Pistons, a cold streak they cannot afford to have against the fast-paced Rockets’ offense.

Led by Mike D’Antoni, the Rockets run at a breakneck pace. The Knicks know all about D’Antoni’s offense, as he was once their head coach as well. They had better be ready to run, as the Rockets like to get out in transition and shoot early and often in the shot clock; a strategy Jeff Hornacek is hoping to partly install with the Knicks.

More from New York Knicks

The Knicks will have to figure out a way to slow down James Harden as well. Harden has looked right at home running D’Antoni’s offense as the point guard. Harden is averaging absurd stats in the early going, putting up 32.3 points, 11.8 assists, 7.3 rebounds, and one steal in 37.5 minutes per game.

Courtney Lee will have his hands full trying to slow him down, but it will take a team effort to accomplish. Harden is the engine that makes the Rockets go, so slowing him down will be imperative to getting a victory. The Knicks will have to take advantage of the times Harden is on the bench resting and make him work defensively.

This is the first back-to-back this season for the Knicks and it will be interesting to see how Hornacek runs his rotation. This early in the season everyone should be available, but you never know; we have already seen other teams around the NBA rest players even though we are a week into the regular season.

We will have to wait and see what Hornacek decides to do tonight. Here is all the information you need to watch the Rockets and Knicks this evening.
