The New York Jets updated injury report has some positives, but it was also announced linebacker Darron Lee will be out Sunday.

The New York Jets are on a short week after no-showing Monday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals. The Jets will now be preparing for a matchup with the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7. Both teams are looking to snap lengthy losing streaks, as the Jets are riding a four-gamer and the Ravens is three games long.

The Jets are dealing with a lot right now, as Eric Decker had hip surgery this week prior to the shoulder surgery is set to undergo. There will be a new quarterback under center, as Ryan Fitzpatrick has been benched for Geno Smith.

Smith should have his regular offensive line in front of him. Nick Mangold and Ryan Clady both returned as limited participants Thursday, while Brian Winters has been a full participant all week. But, backup Brent Qvale has yet to participate this week because of a neck injury.

Tight end looks like it could be a problem yet again. The Jets barely use the tight end spot under Chan Gailey, but were hoping Austin Seferian-Jenkins could help jump start things. But, Seferian-Jenkins is trending in the wrong direction. He was a limited participant on Wednesday but did not partake in practice at all Thursday. In addition to Seferian-Jenkins, Braedon Bowman did not participate Thursday after a limited practice Wednesday.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Jets look like they will be getting their leader, David Harris, back on the field. Harris had his length consecutive games started streak snapped against the Cardinals, but is on track to play after being limited Wednesday and a full participant Thursday.

Fellow linebacker, rookie Darron Lee, will not be on the field. He has yet to participate in practice this week, and head coach Todd Bowles already said he won’t play Sunday against the Ravens.

Defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson both look like they will play Sunday. Wilkerson returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis Thursday, while Richardson was excused for personal reasons.

As for the Ravens, they could once again be without a number of regulars. Last week against the New York Giants, they were without a number of starters and Pro Bowl players, and it could happen against the Jets this week as well.

Elvis Dumervil, Joe Flacco, Devin Hester, C.J. Mosley, Steve Smith Sr., Terrell Suggs, Sharece Wright, and Marshal Yanda have yet to practice this week. That could leave the Ravens without a lot of firepower against the Jets, including their starting quarterback. If that is the case, this is a game the Jets have to take advantage of and get a victory in.
