Week 1 of the NFL season has been completed and it is now time to create NFL Power Rankings to determine who the best teams are after the first week of the season.

These NFL Power Rankings will be starting off with just the results of Week 1, as there will be a few teams that will surely see large jumps after Week 2 as we better gauge teams with a larger sample size. For now the 1-0 teams and 0-1 teams will be broken up in half.

Here is Empire Writes Back’s first NFL Power Ranking of the 2015 season.

32.) Oakland Raiders (0-1)

One of the worst losses of the first week of the season was the beating the Oakland Raiders suffered at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals were up 33-0 after three-quarters before the Raiders were able to score 13 points with the Bengals a bit relaxed with their big lead.

Raiders’ quarterback Derek Carr was forced to leave the game early on with a hand injury, and that certainly did not help them keep it competitive. Carr believes that he will be able to play in Week 2, and that is great news for the Raiders.

Rookie Amari Cooper had a decent debut, as he totaled five receptions and 47 receiving yards.

31.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1)

The 2015 season didn’t get off to a good start for Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his NFL debut, Winston threw a pick-six on his first career pass. Overall it was a rather unimpressive debut for Winston who totaled 210 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Wide receiver Mike Evans was unable to play in Week 1 with a hamstring injury, and he was certainly missed in the 42-14 loss. Winston and Marcus Mariota will always be linked together since they were drafted back-to-back in the 2015 NFL Draft. In their first game against each other, Mariota won the battle against Winston.

30.) Cleveland Browns (0-1)

Things started out pretty much as poorly as they could have for the Cleveland Browns in their first game of the season against the New York Jets. Early in the game, quarterback Josh McCown did a John Elway propeller dive into the end zone. Unlikely Elway, McCown fumbled on the play.

With McCown out it was Johnny Manziel who became the starting quarterback. Manziel didn’t playing totally awful considering he was going against a talented Jets defense. In the 31-14 loss, Manziel totaled 182 passing yards, one passing touchdown, one interception, and 35 rushing yards.

Manziel probably didn’t do enough to win the starting job from McCown, but if McCown can’t pass the concussion protocol, we’ll see another week of Johnny Football under center.

29.) Washington Redskins (0-1)

As expected the Washington Redskins lost their opening game of the season to the Miami Dolphins. The surprising thing in the Redskins’ loss was that they were actually winning the game until the fourth quarter.

The Redskins’ defense held the Dolphins offense to just 10 points, as Jarvis Landry scored a touchdown on a punt return.

Kirk Cousins got the start but didn’t play particularly well against a good Dolphins defense. Cousins totaled 191 passing yards, one passing touchdown, and two interceptions in the loss. The quarterback situation will be monitored in Washington every week with Robert Griffin III on the bench. If Cousins wants to keep his starting job, he will need to play better.
