So far, it has been a great run for the New York Yankees, who find themselves up two games to none against the Cleveland Guardians. However, as New York hits the road for the next couple of games, a few worrisome issues loom. One of their primary concerns is the lack of production from their cleanup hitter, a spot that needs to step up if the Yankees are going to maintain their momentum.

At this time of the year, New York has struggled to drive in runs, which has become a pressing issue. Their over-reliance on the long ball is a key factor in their offensive struggles. To turn things around, they need to adopt a different approach—playing small ball. This strategy could help the team maintain momentum as they inch closer to the Fall Classic. Another possible solution is to switch Austin Wells with Anthony Rizzo.

If there's one guy that deserves that cleanup spot it's Anthony Rizzo. Ever since being placed on the ALCS roster, Rizzo has been producing. In just 12 postseason games as a Yankee, he is now hitting .300 with a 1.029 OPS. That is something New York should consider doing as they look to go up three games to none on Thursday in Cleveland.

As the Yankees head to game three, they must place Anthony Rizzo in the cleanup. Moving up your third hottest player in the postseason is crucial to winning games. Rizzo has shown that he can handle that spot. His recent postseason numbers say it all.
