Schoen talked about his quarterback immediately bringing up the long list of injuries Jones has suffered and how serious they are. The staff was then talking about how they felt they were better at every position but the offensive line and quarterback may cost the team. Schoen said he won't give up on Jones yet, but that the team has to have a contingency plan.

4. The Staff Talked Early on About Brian Burns

The staff was shown in a meeting early in January talking about how much they wanted to pair Dexter Lawrence with a star pass rusher up front. The staff discussed options like Chris Jones, Brian Burns, and Christian Wilkins before deciding to trade for Burns. The trade for the 26-year-old was easily executed as Panthers GM Dan Morgan is one of Schoen's closest friends. The trade for Burns was given extra insight in the preview HBO released on Tuesday about the show.
