Saquon Barkley is scheduled to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent in March. The New York Giants and Barkley failed to reach a long-term contract after agreeing to a one-year deal for $10.1 million before the 2023 season.

Things between Barkley and the G-Men seem very murky so it's anyone's best guess what will happen between these two sides.

Former Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants receiver Cole Beasley hinted at Barkley joining the Cowboys in free agency on social media.

Giants News: Saquon Barkley Doesn't Shut Down Cowboys Possibility

Barkley responded with a few laughing emojis and stated he missed Beasley. Another interesting nugget is how Barkley didn't completely shut down the idea.

The thought of the Penn State product joining New York's archrival down in Texas would give Giants fans an uneasy feeling. Barkley always believed he would be a New York Giant for life but his thought process changed last year when he was hit with the franchise tag.

In an interview with Zion Olojede of Complex, Barkley hinted at the possibility of suiting up for another team in his career.

"Yeah, I mean it never crossed my mind until last year after I got tagged. Up until that moment, I really believed that I was gonna finish my career as a New York Giant...You go through the tag process, you realize how much of a business it is. And I remember vets always telling me this and you know I believed them, but you don't really know something until you go through it. So could I see myself in another uniform? Yeah, it's possible. "

If Barkley does touch the open market, he will certainly have a long list of suitors and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Dallas on the list.
