The Giants added talent to their defensive line, bolstering their roster after a Wild Card loss to the Packers, and drafted Dalvin Tomlinson.

He'd earn a starting job in training camp playing alongside Damon Harrison. Through his four seasons in New York, Tomlinson would be incredibly consistent recording 49 tackles in two seasons and 50 tackles in the other two.

6. Darius Slayton - 2019 Draft - 171st Overall Pick

The Giants drafted little-known receiver named Darius Slayton in the fifth round of the 2019 Draft as he was expected to play a big role on special teams for the Giants. We didn't get to see Darius Slayton until Daniel Jones' first start in week three where he excited the fanbase with three receptions for 82 yards.

He'd finish his rookie year with an impressive 48 catches for 740 yards and eight touchdowns despite starting just nine games.

The late-round pick has become the Giants' top receiver, catching 220 passes for 3,324 yards and 19 touchdowns. The team rewarded Slayton with a two-year contract extension in 2023, keeping him in New York.

While the Giants have failed with high-priced receiving acquisitions the past few seasons such as Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and Golden Tate, the production of Slayton has helped carry the receiving game.

The Giants will look to add a receiver near the top of the NFL Draft which should only help elevate the offense and Slayton. If the Giants can add a talented receiver this off-season, paired with the development of Jalin Hyatt and Wan'Dale Robinson, the offense should be the best it's been in a long time. An elevated receiving room will only help Darius Slayton as he tries to reach the 1,000-yard mark.
