Throughout the summer, the New York Giants have geared up for their centennial season with several special events for the fans to participate in and announcements to look forward to. The events and announcements include the release of their 'Century Red' uniforms, which will be worn at least two games, 100th-year merchandise for fans to purchase with the commemorative logo, the Giants 100: A Night With Legends event featuring several legends at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, HBO's Offseason Edition of Hard Knocks, and Giants Day at Yankee Stadium.

On Sunday, the Yankees hosted former Big Blue quarterback and two-time Super Bowl Champion Eli Manning for their series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays to represent the New York Giants and celebrate the franchise's 100th season this year. Manning sported a Yankees hat and his Giants jersey with the commemorative 100th-year patch. He also threw out the ceremonial first pitch, but the throw may have been a bit high and outside to Yankees' infielder Oswaldo Cabrera.

The first 18,000 fans in attendance could also pick up a Manning bobblehead with the quarterback fully dressed in Yankees' pinstripes.

Eli Manning Honored at Yankee Stadium

Shortly after his first pitch, Manning made the trip to the Yankees radio booth to join Justin Shackil and Suzyn Waldman on WFAN. Throughout the third inning, the former G-Men quarterback discussed several topics with Shackil and Waldman, including his first pitch, playing for the Giants organization his entire career, and, of course, the team's centennial season in 2024.

They also spoke about the success of the Manningcast and what it is like for Eli and his older brother Peyton to sit down and watch Monday Night Football with several former and current players, coaches, and celebrities. Waldman told Eli that if she could vote, she believes he deserves to be inducted into the Hall of Fame when the two-time Super Bowl Champion becomes eligible in 2025 and jokingly said we can't have Peyton have that over you.

For now, all eyes will be on the New York Giants, led by Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen. They'll look to bounce back from a disappointing 2023 campaign and exceed expectations in their centennial season this year. We'll also see if Manning is selected as a first-time eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025.
